NIA Induction Ceremony

Founded on April 1, 1960, the Nigerian Institute of Architects is an association of independent professional architects. From a modest 13 members at inauguration, the Institute has experienced phenomenal growth in its membership, activities, stature and influence both at national and international levels. The NIA is a member of the International Union of Architects(UIA), the Commonwealth Association of Architects(CAA) and a founding member of the African Union of Architects(AUA). Total membership of the NIA today stands at about 6000 across 5 classes of membership.

Yours sincerely was inducted into the NIA as a full member in October 2016, at a colourful ceremony in Asaba, Delta State, Nigeria, upon passing the strenuous Professional Practice Examinations at one sitting, in flying colours in March of the same year, and meeting other conditions for full membership. Pictured with me above is the President of the Nigerian Institute of Architects; Arc. Tonye Oliver Braide (PNIA).

To God be the glory!
